Two vets in our town refuse to write scripts for online meds. I have been charged 2 to 4 times more than I could buy online.

My Vet was charging me 15 dollars and now a single pill is 18 dollars. I can buy them online for 11 dollars a pill. I know in the medical human world a doctor or eye doctor can not refuse to give you a prescription so you can order from online such as contacts. You can report those doctors that refuse.
I’ve used www.petscriptions in the past for advantage etc.

Is it rude to ask your vet to write a prescription for medication so you can buy it online for cheaper?

I buy Sentinel flea medicine for my dogs through my vet, but he charges me over $80 for this when on places like 1-800-petmeds they charge about $60. I feel bad for having to ask, and so I never do and end up overpaying.
If there are any vets out there reading this, is this a major no-no or is it acceptable to ask?

I know there is a online prescription meds buying website that has its own doctors who write the prescriptions. Can anyone tell me?
