I have several bottles of Bactrim because I get some what frequent UTIs. I have a toothache and will not be able to get in to see a dentist until the middle of next month. Is it possible to use the Bactrim to kill the infection in my tooth for the time being?
Will Bactrim have any effect on a tooth infection?

Can I use bactrim antibiotic for a tooth infection or penicillin for a bladder infection. Basically I had a tooth infection but its gone now, I have a bladder infection. I have run out of one antibiotic but have a lot of the other. So in the interim, can I use either and would they be equally effective?
and yes I realize I have to replace good bacteria in the gut that is lost when taking antibiotics, so I am taking acidophilus too.

Can taking Bactrim for a UTI cause my tooth ache to become worse?

I have had tooth pain for a few days, but I started Bactrim for a UTI yesterday and coincidentally the tooth pain got worse. Is this a coincidence or is it possible that the antibiotic, for some weird reason, caused the pain to worsen?
