I’ve been on Bactrim for about 8 days and started developing flu like symptoms and today I woke up with a bad rash all over my body, so I stopped taking it, went to see my doctor and he told me to stop aswell. The last time I took it was last night at around 9pm. How long until the medicine is out of my system? Is there a way to speed it up? how bout the rash, how long does it take to go away?

Ya 12 years, for headaches.I’ve been having side effects for years now and recently scary side effects. I take 100MG a day. Since I started taking them I’ve gotten these tiny red spots all over my body and they keep coming. The scary effects are anxiety, tingling around lips and fingers. My vision goes weird like I’m in a dream. I get light headed and I can’t think right. Simple things I don’t know. So I get scared and panic. I believe that all these symptoms are from the Amitriptyline. So I want off. Will it take longer like some of you?

I was prescribed Bactrim for a throat/chest infection, problem is I’ve been throwing up sometimes and I’m not sure if the Bactrim will get in my system in time. I took it almost an hour ago and I feel like I may throw up again.. If I do, will any of the Bactrim still work to fight the infection?

I am currently taking amitripyline for insomnia, depression and anxiety. How long do I have to take it before the effects of the drugs kick in? I’ve heard about two weeks, is this true?
Also, I take 25mg a night. Should I up the dosage or no?

Been on this stuff for 9 days now have one more dose to take. How long after finishing the dosage of Bactrim should one wait till having a beer. I’m not an alcoholic (never more than one drink with a meal), just traveling through Portugal and would love a beer or glass of wine with dinners.
