I started taking it today and my doctor said it would kick in right away but I still have the same results as my over-the-counter drugs. And also, can I take the over-the-counter symptom reliever while I’m on the antibiotics?

Im taking 1 dose 2x a day for 7 Days. Today is only my first day of taking it. Should I be seeing any improvement or is it too soon. Thank You!
I think I have less pain in the bladder area and the burning seems to have eased up.I still have the frequency but that may due to all the water Im drinking.

My doctor prescribed bactrim for me for two weeks / 2 a day. Then the doc thought about it and debated .. then gave me anothe 2 weeks worth. I have 4 days left on week 4…. And having dizzyness and nausea
How long should I wait to drink after taking Bactrim (Sulfamethoxazole & Trimethoprim)?
January 19th, 2011 Dr. Consultation I had an ear infection two weeks ago and I was put on an antibiotic known as Bactrim/Septra (which contains Sulfamethoxazole and Trimethoprim). Today is my last dose. Is it fine if I drink alcohol the day after (24 hours)?
