I would like to buy contacts online as they are much cheaper than buying them here in Mexico. I have a recent prescription for glasses. I also have the base and curve measurements from old boxes. Opticians only want to give me the information I need if I buy the contacts from them. The prescription is as follows:
OD -6.00 – 1.25 x 25
OS -6.00 -2.50 x165
The other measurements are 8.7 and 14.4.
Will it make a difference if I buy contacts that are 8.5 or 8.6 and 14.5?
They are for my 20 year old son who has worn (toric) contacts for several years would have larger rather than smaller eyes. Thanks for your help

I wear contacts now and my year supply is almost gone. I don’t need them much (20/40 20/50), but would like a pair of glasses for around the house or out doors activities.
All I remember from my optometrist is that my prescription is -.75
Last time I was in there they did not say anything about me having astigmatism. I don’t know my PD (Pupil distance), but heard the average for adults is 63mm. I also am able to measure later.
I am in a location where I am unable to go to any optometrist, so that is why I’m here.

My glasses just broke so I need a new one. If I buy them from glasses stores, they will cost a lot. Can I buy glasses from online stores and bring them to a glasses store where they will put the lens in it?
