Dr. Consultation 
I just found out that my sister has been purchasing painkillers online! How is this possible and isn’t it illegal to do this? If someone out there knows about this, please post an answer, I don’t want her to get into trouble because she’s purchasing painkillers online. I never would have imagined that you can buy these online without any sort of prescription. She tells me that she gets really bad pain in all her joints and that she’s tired of going to the doctor for them. What do I do???

Hi there. Why do you feel you must do something? Is your sister an adult? Has she had a Dr. tell her what the pain is from? Has she ever been addicted to pain pills before?
If your sister is an adult – who has had a Dr.tell her what the problem is, and has never had a drug abuse problem then I do not see what the trouble is. Many people go to Mexico or Canada to buy pain pills that need to script like here in the US.
As a person who has been in pain her whole life do to orthopedic birth defects I can tell you it is possible to take pain pills everyday and not become addicted.
